Back to Projects

Green Factory successfully achieved full planning permission for two semi detached homes on a difficult site at Bucknell, with a previously rejected planning application. Planning permission was achieved due to the high levels of sustainability in the design. The two properties were designed with Passivhaus design principals in mind, using solar gain to heat the building and using well insulated walls, floors and roofs so the properties require minimal heating. Solar PV will be on the South of the property and electric heating installed for back up heating for long periods of cold weather. Externally the building is clad in a mixture of render and 'green wall' which is Green Factories own cladding system.

Currently building regulation drawings are being completed and construction is expected to start in June 2012.
